The Zen Stainless pans are Laser etched Stainless Steel... they have no non stick coating.
However we do recommend a good hard wash with light scourer before first use to remove any impurities left on the pan from the laser etching process..
It also best to wash the pan after it has cooled down.. do not put a hot Zen directly into cold water. If you can hold the Pan in your "Hand" it is ok to wash.
